I am on the most current verson v5.0 and when I hit clean it seems to take forever to clean. I had everthing closed and let it run after 30 min I hit cancel ..any ideas

ok I have a 500 gb hard drive with vista and I have been running ccleaner for over 24 hours and it says the wipe free space is at 100% and has been for over 6 hours. how long does it take to finsh after that. I am afraid to hit cancel. any ideas and what can I do

all I know is I have tried it in safe mode and it will not work I have tried to manually remove the file and it locked even in safe mode and the size is getting larger any Ideas any one????
