I guess these are compressed files. I don't think CCleaner can wipe compressed files from the Recycle Bin. If you like to remove these files from the Recyle Bin I can suggest two methods.
Method 1: I have tested this on Windows Vista and Windows 7 32/64 bit systems.
Open Command Prompt.
Type the following command and press ENTER.
rd /s /q C:\$Recycle.bin
This clears out the $Recycle.bin folder from the C:\ partition. You may have to do this for each hard disk partition in your system.
Method 2: Download a trial version of @Active Boot Disk. Install the program to make a bootable disc. Then boot the computer with that disc and go to Start menu and click on Utilities, then go to Explore My Computer. Choose the hard disk and open $Recycle.Bin and then click on the folders inside the $Recycle.Bin , you will find these hidden/undeleteable files there. Right click on the files and delete them.

Could you please change the [Adobe Acrobat Distiller Cache*] entry to [Acrobat Distiller Cache*]. That will bring both the Acrobat Distiller entries right next to each other.
-
There is a Paint.NET entry in Winapp2.ini and that works fine.
-
I think there should be a context menu to wipe the Recycle Bin items.

RealPlayer 15 is out and the current version of your CCleaner does not support it.

I install(&re-install) freemake video converter, and freemake audio converter in the default locations, and never had any issues. Though, i do a clean un-install of both programs when i install new version.
Shouldn't Freemake Audio Converter have the % in the DetectFile line like Freemake Video Converter does? Shouldn't it be DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%, not DetectFile=C:\Program Files?
You're right. It should be %ProgramFiles%.

Hello all,
After running CCleaner64 (v3.11.0.1550) 64-bit, I started getting event logs indicating that the Windows 7 Search Service could not start due to courruption. These logs did not go away upon reboot so I downloaded a Microsoft "Fix it" program to "Fix Windows Search When it Crashes or is Not Showing Results." So, I ran it and it reported that it fixed the corrupted Windows 7 Search Service. Thereafter, the logs stopped.
FYI
To clean/wipe that area computer needs to be re-started as these files are locked and unfortunately CCleaner has no option to do that. Most of the privacy cleaning softwares (e.g. R-Wipe&Clean, Ace Utilities and East-Tec Eraser) erase locked files after re-starting the computer. The current version of CCleaner has the same issue.
Navigate to the path listed here and you will find Search crash dump files.
C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\CrashDumps

I've been having problems with your default setting of MS SEARCH when u install a fresh copy of ccleaner. When this option is left on it corrupts the windows indexing on windows 7 64bit.This happen to quite a few computers that had this option left on and even couple of my friends had this problem as well. Please remove MS SEARCH option or find a way where it wont corrupt the indexing. If you do have this option turn on goto eventvwr and look at the logs. You will see corrupted indexing errors. To fix this goto this link run the tool but make sure MS Search is unchecked otherwise it will corrupt it again.

When I run registry for the first time (once a week), I'm always notified of an "Unused Extension - {". Why does this continue to pop up? Is there any way to determine what program or what is causing this? It doesn't seem to be an issue, just an annoyance.
Try Acelogix Registry TuneUp.

The entry listed here needs to be corrected. I think you should remove DetectOS=|5.1. Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit also get these .ini files. The original enrty that Andavari provided was fine.

I don't know who proposed to update those Freemake cleaners I made but they shouldn't mainly detect the installed location because that can be changed. Much better to detect the registry location.
I think it is better to have installed location compare to registry location as detect paths. Some times registry data don't get removed after uninstalling a program and not everyone can remove the registry data manually. I have Windows DVD Maker and Windows Media Center features off but the entries were still showing in CCleaner as both the entries had registry detect paths and Windows does not remove the registry entries after turning these features off. I have changed the detect paths and now they are ok. Please look at the post.

Pretty sizable update. Changes in first post
It was still removing Snagit library. Now it is 100% fine.
When you will update the Winapp2.ini?
-
For some reasons the PowerISO entry corrupts PowerISO's registration file.

I think some of the old Ashampoo Burning Studio entries should be removed.

There are two entries for [Ashampoo Burning Studio 7*]

Nice catch, Saad
Thank you
I was the one who provided that entry and I was sure that it didn't cause the problem. I always test the entries before I post here.
