  1. Thanks for your help everyone, my main concern was that I wasn't sure if CC cleaner was optimizing all that it should. Since there are many things down in the advanced part that I still have no clue about. None the less, I figure I'll just leave it at simple 1 overwrite & leave the rest of the settings at pretty much default. Although if any one can still provide me with information as to what those advanced settings mean in particular I'd greatly appreciate it.
  2. Hi every one, I made an account here & a forum to find out how I can configure CC cleaner to optimize my computer at its max. My goal is to have CC cleaner clean all that I don't need, yet keep my personal files and other necessary system information intact. However, there are many options and terms within the program that I have no real clue what they mean or if they should be checked off or not. At the moment I have it set to clean the following as shown in the attacked screen shot below. Although I need some expert advice as to what else I can or shouldn't have checked off in order to clean to the max yet still preserve my personal files & settings. One particular option that I can specifically mention is the option to clean FTP accounts. If this is done will it cause problems in how my computer connects to the internet? Since I had no actual software installed to connect, all the man from the company did was type a command in DOS so my computer would know how to connect to their server. Will the enabling the cleaning of FTP accounts disable my computer from connecting to the internet? Or is it something different entirely? On a last note, under the secure deletion options. Which one is best to have it set to: Normal File Deletion, Simple Overwrite, DOD 5220.22-M, NSA or Gutmann? If any one could please get back to me on these questions ASAP I'd greatly appreciate it.
