  1. Thank you for your responses DennisD and Nergal. I think I have found out the reason for my problem. My browser is Firefox....but I run it Sandboxed (Sandboxie)!... I had installed Ghostery in the sandboxed mode! I switched Sandboxie off and looked at the Firefox extentions. Ghostery, although it was appearing in the sandboxed mode, it was NOT there in the non-sandboxed mode... I downloaded Ghostery in the non-sandboxed Firefox and run CCleaner. I am delighted to say that CCleaner does not delete Ghostery any more. It is said that Sandboxie has a very steep learning curve. They are not exagerating.... I have been using Sandboxie for over a year now, but there are still occasions when I am caught out. Thank you for your help. Basil
  2. I have recently installed Ghostery and every time I run CCleaner (in its default settings), Ghostery and all its settings get deleted. As a result I have to reistall it and reconfigurite it. I would appreciate any assistance in overcoming this problem. I use Firefox 11.0 and my OS is Vista. Thank you
  3. A couple of days ago, I installed Speccy. As far as I an aware, the hard drive has no problems, and the 3 year old desktop performs perfectly well. The hard drive test data is indicated on the following table. Is it possible that somebody could help me decipher all those S.M.A.R.T numbers, please? I don't have a clue what they mean....and have great difficulty finding any relevant information. I have also tried to find the Fujitsu smart codes, but with no success. Thank you for your help.
