  1. RAS in XP3 is showing up as installed in my network (Norton Diagnostic Report Notice). My Network = Cable Modem > WRT54G2 Gateway > 2 x XP3 computers ( LP wireless/ PC wired ) and I didn't do it / don't want it / don't know how to disable RAS. MS ICS in XP is not needed since I have the WRT54G2 and I don't know if RAS is connected somehow to MS ICS. I have gone into CP > ADMIN TOOLS > SERVICES and turned off Remote Access Auto Connection Manager and Remote Access Connection Manager. This all started when I was traveling, my better half called a technician to resolve a 'no internet connection' issue on the LP and I returned to find the network configured completely different. Norton sometimes says 'tunneling' in progress which is a hack attempt using VPN I am informed since we don't use VPN. The technician says it was a LP / router issue and installed a residential gateway on the PC (MS ICS) and this got connectivity back. This is all rubbish as I know its always a static IP / DHCP issue when we lose the 'net and I fix within minutes usually when at home. This is already a long thread - best stop here, I could write more....need to know how to eradicate RAS and kill ICS on the XP PC ?
