I receive a lot of e-mails with .eml attachments. I have now found I can NOT open them though I used to. I can't even open the ones I previously received & saved even though I had opened them when I first received them. If I try to open them I get a box saying Windows can not open this file & suggests going on the internet to find a solution. However all I get there are links to web sites wanting to sell me registry cleaners. The other option given in the box is to open the file with one of a list of programs already on my computer that it brings up. I have tried them all without success.
My e-mail program is Windows Live & my OS is Windows 7.
