  1. I am running an XP, SP3 Windows which I try to keep as current as possible for enhanced security features. I run Firefox exclusively and very rarely have to use IE. I keep IE up to date however. Currently at IE 8.0.6001.18702. Firefox is running 3.5.5 My questions are from the results I get when I analyze through CCleaner, which I have used for quite a while and run frequently. Although I don't run IE, I get several IE issues that show in the results and they seem to be from earlier versions IE 5 and IE 6 and I don't know why I should be getting them. This happens every time I run CCleaner. I would sooner remove completely or disable IE if I had my choice but since that is not possible, I do try to keep it current. QUESTION: 1. Is it necessary to keep the earlier versions on my machine? or do successive upgrades build on the earlier versions? Would it hurt to try to uninstall the earlier versions and keep the last couple more current versions? * Generally could I apply that question to Flash, Java, etc. Any thoughts there? I appreciate any help and thank whomever, in advance, for any kind words... .... ed young Oh well! 125 views and nobody can help, no ideas? Thanks for nothing!!! EY
