  1. Greetings, We've begun making use of backup data storage on DVD-RW discs. We're using Windows Vista Service Pack 3 platform. The platform automatically gives users the option for creating a data storage disc (CD-RW-/DVD-RW) using something called the Microsoft Live File ?system? . We've noticed that Defraggler does not recognize: 1. That a data storage disc is loaded in the machine; and, 2. Users are, therefore, not given the option enabling the software to recognize a loaded data storage disc. In a "perfect world" Defraggler would: 1. Recognize that a data storage disc is loaded in
  2. Microsoft Security Essentials software Location: Computer/C/ProgramData/Microsoft/Microsoft Antimalware/Support/Scans CCleaner is not picking up the files in the Support folder for automatic deletion. The virus-checking software from Microsoft is a processor-hawg that can only be shut down using the Services menu. Currently setting CCleaner to "Include" deletion of files in both the Support and Scans folders without affecting the operation of the software. Running Windows Vista Service Pack 2.
  3. Greetings, Super Fast: We have run a dxdiag routine and pasted it in below. We use Piriform Defraggler at each start up and after each online session. We run CCleaner at each start up and after each online session. Mainly using Google Chrome v16.0.912.63 m . Internet Explorer v9 used infrequently. We are also using a Virtual Memory paging file of 80000MB to accommodate the use of the Finale music notation software we compose with. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 12/17/2011, 00:50:20 Machine name: BOUNTIFUL O
  4. Greetings to the group: In addition to our watching a lot of videos from the C-Span website, we also frequently watch movies streamed from the Hulu site. After several hours of viewing, the internet browsers (Windows Explorer and Chrome) internet cache fills to the brim and videos hang as the buffer system tries to keep the video playing. If CCleaner is running and relegated to the icon tray, it would be a nice feature for the software to self-initiate a cleaning of the internet cache which includes the cache of the browser that is currently running. For example, Chrome wants to keep r
  5. Greetings: We notice that CCleaner is not cleaning files out of a folder in the following location: C:/ProgramData/Microsoft/Search/Data/Applications/Windows/Projects/SystemIndex/Indexer/CiFiles Vista Administrators are not able do delete or alter the files in this folder. File types listed are as follows: CI File, DIR File, WID File, Microsoft Works Portfolio file, 000 File, 001 File (numbers increase based on date of the file), DIA File, etc. Another set of files that remain undetected by CCleaner are in a folder at the following location: C:/ProgramData/Microsoft/Search/Data/A
  6. Greetings to the Group: We've been using Microsoft SyncToy for doing backup of business files to two external hard drives. The SyncToy feature for Selecting Subfolders to include or disregard in a back up sequence picks up the existence of files that CCleaner v3.12 is not deleting: ** files that have a $ sign in the file description ($RA62KCP) file is a zip folder from an external drive deletion ** "s-1-5-21-1384378194-1034998999-311274156-1000" not sure what this file is It would be wonderful if the CCleaner software was deleting these kinds of files in future software upgrades.

  8. Greetings to the Forum! I installed SpySweeper demo the other day and was surprised to find that it detected a cookie that CCleaner is not picking up: Atlas DMT. This cookie is not being detected by Norton Internet Security 2008, either. I am hopeful that the techies will find a way for CCleaner to detect and delete this stubborn cookie software. Thanks!
