  1. I'm new to CCleaner. I'm only interested in the Cleaner function of the program, not the registry editor. Basically I'm only interested in replacing the cache cleaner function that used to be provided by ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite. However, ZoneAlarm removed this function from their program as I was told they are trying to stream line their program and avoid bloat. CCleaner was actually recommended to me by ZoneAlarm to replace their cache cleaner function. First I have not done any actually cleaning with CCleaner yet. I've only used the analyze function to check out what all it plans on doing. My system does not have any problems. I'm just looking for a quick and easy way to clean up junk before turning my system off. At last my question...lol. I noticed that when I do an analysis of System/Temporary Files with CCleaner 48 files are listed. However Windows XP Disk Cleanup utility shows 0 kb listed for Temporary Files. Even after running Windows XP Disk Cleanup utility and then using CCleaner to analyze System/Temporary Files again it still shows the 48 files. I'm just curious why Windows XP Disk Cleanup utility chooses to leave these specific files while CCleaner wants to remove them? I definitely don?t want to remove files Windows XP needs to function efficiently and/or correctly. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
