MS Visual C++ 6.0 in winapp2.ini
Eylem Ugurel replied to Eylem Ugurel's topic in CCleaner Bug Reporting
I think metal is so much twisted so he could not reply that long. -
Yes it was WMI after long research. Thanks alot. But could developers at least take this into consideration?
-
Yes i know already friends. Sysinternals had explained how to do it on their former website before they were swallowed by microsoft. I'm lucky I had offlined their web site before they gone off. I know the technics but do ccleaner developers aware of these?
-
After restart, all restore points were gone. I think CCleaner does the job correctly, besides it gives this error message.

I spent times while Defraggler does its job. My main problem is: it says 100% but I waited long before Defrag is complete. I know there are partial files on the way and they take some time but at least could Developers implement the UI to make it just what it is in the mockup image: untitled.bmp untitled.bmp

Latest Version Number on the Website
Eylem Ugurel replied to Eylem Ugurel's topic in CCleaner Suggestions
Yes I know it is already down there. This was a suggestion regarding user interface design principles. Great thanks. -
Hi, Could you implement colored block view being full screen? Thanks.
-
Does Defraggler do it for the page file?
-
Hi everyone, Has anyone received an "Error 1717: The Interface is unknown" during clicking on the Remove button for a System Restore point? I committed this as a bug but no one to reply. Have a nice day.

Thanks. I Forwarded the message to TwistedMetal. -
Hi, Just added a section for MS Visual C++ 6.0 in winapp2.ini but it seems CCleaner is not detecting these registry entries: [*MS Visual C++ 6.0] LangSecRef=3021 Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Devstudio\6.0 Default=True RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Devstudio\6.0\Directories|WorkspaceDir RegKey2=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Devstudio\6.0\Projects|* RegKey3=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Devstudio\6.0\Recent File List|FileCount RegKey4=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Devstudio\6.0\Recent File List|File* RegKey5=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Devstudio\6.0\Recent File List|ProjectCount RegKey6=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Devstudio\6.0\Recent File List|Project* RegKey7=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Devstudio\6.0\Search|* RegKey8=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Devstudio\6.0\Workspace|LastProject

Once the restore points were visible on my XP SP2, but when I clicked on remove, it gave me Error 1717. And after computer restart, they all were gone.
-
Thanks for the reply Dennis.

Thanks Andavari. Changing winapp2.ini solves the issue but having this feature in the interface would be more user-friendly.
-
It would be nice to see the latest version number on http://www.ccleaner.com/ at the first place; such as "Last updated on 26th October 2009 - Version: 2.25.1025"

Under XP PRO, when trying to remove files under Tools/System Restore, CCleaner pops Error 1717: The Interface is Unknown.
-
Suggestions to clear under XP: 1. C:\Config.Msi 2. C:\WINDOWS\$hf_mig$ 3. C:\WINDOWS\$NtServicePackUninstall$ 4. C:\WINDOWS\CSC 5. .GID files 6. Uninstall feature for Quicktime < 3.0; really big problem for old gamers.
-
Legend entry for pastel blue is not in the list.
-
It would be a nice feature also to clear network links under C:\Documents and Settings\<User>\NetHood and auto printers under C:\Documents and Settings\<User>\PrintHood.
-
It would be a nice feature if CCleaner deletes downloaded Windows Update files under C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download
