  1. Hi DennisD: Nope, I searched my whole hard drive twice for a "log.txt" file. Nothing. Thanks, Dragonegg
  2. Hi Disk4mat: I ran CCleaner and "saved to text file" as you instructed, however, once I do this CCleaner closes and I can't find the text file anywhere on my system. Thoughts? Thanks! Dragonegg
  3. Hi ePost: Yes, my homepage is in there. Thanks for the link to the Spyware Hell article. I'll run the suggested procedure for good measure. Cheers, Dragonegg
  4. Hi ePost: Thanks for your help! Yes, I have the latest version of CCleaner installed. I don't run chkds and scannow regularly, but will now. I did the chkdsk and it repaired one thing. When I try to run scannow, I get an error that scannow is not found. I ran the Secunia PSI and it found 4 things to update regarding QuickTime, Macromedia Flash, Mozilla Firefox, and a Retrospect program (for external backup drive). I don't think re-installing IE will help, since I already did this and encountered the same "post-CCLeaner" problem with IE. Cheers, Dragonegg
  5. Hello: When I run the registry cleaner in CCleaner and then open my IE8, only the top bars appear and the rest of the screen stays white. I have to go to my saved registry file and merge it back in to get IE8 to work correctly again. Would anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!
