  1. Thanks! But I haven't received a PM as of now.
  2. Yes - it crashed completely (always does - so at least this error is highly reproducable), with Windows saying that CCleaner doesn't work anymore. Except for the log file, there are no other files in CCleaner's program folder (except for the executables etc). Or should I look for the mdp file in a different location?
  3. If this is the correct debug log file, there's unfortunately not too much information in there: 15:32:25:014005[iNFO ] CCleaner v3.01.1327 (64-bit) 15:32:25:015005[iNFO ] MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 15:32:25:015005[iNFO ] Intel Core2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz 15:32:25:015005[iNFO ] 6,0GB RAM 15:32:25:015005[iNFO ] ATI Radeon HD 3600 Series 15:32:25:015005[iNFO ] Application Started 15:32:25:796049[DEBUG] Initializing Stop request... 15:32:25:796049[DEBUG] Finished Stop request 15:32:25:821051[DEBUG] Initializing Stop request... 15:32:25:821051[DEBUG] Finished Stop request 15:32:25:875054[DEBUG] Initializing Stop request... 15:32:25:875054[DEBUG] Finished Stop request
  4. Hi, While I've never experienced any problems over the years with CCleaner, over the last couple of days I've tried various times to do a full (i. e. with deletion of the content) disk wipe (1 pass) with CCleaner 3.01 (Windows 7, x64) of a second internal S-ATA HDD partition. I've never succeded - CCleaner is always crashing at the beginning of the wipe. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
  5. Yes, I am aware that this is possible - but isn't one of the goals of CCleaner (or any decent software for that matter) to make things as easy as possible and more efficient for the user? That's one of the reasons I am using CCleaner instead of some competitor's product - it's very efficient and very easy to handle (well, at least most of the time). I mean, what are the good arguments *against* this?
  6. Well, CCleaner clears the *cache* of various OS components / applications (e. g. the Thumbnails Cache) - and this is the icon *cache*.
  7. Well - at least the admin of a machine should be able to do this - I mean, he can manually change the other users' profiles anyway. On a sidenote - I am the only user of my computer - and I use multiple profiles (admin/restricted). I would think that I am not the only one doing this.
  8. I agree - that's extremely unfortunate since a ) it's an excellent idea (which I have been thinking about before) and b ) one would think that this is a no-brainer. Additionally, the Piriform applications unfortunately don't integrate application menus/icons into Windows' Start menu for all of Windows' user profiles (exclusively into the profile where the app is installed from). At least that should be changed.
  9. Thanks very much! Would be nice to see this as a default feature as this is not something application specific, but the Winapp2.ini is very useful none the less (I did not know about the latter, btw).
  10. Hi! The following feature would fit nicely into CCleaner imo (I just solved a problem with messed up icons by doing this): Clean/Rebuild Icon Cache: http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/how-to-rebuild-the-icon-cache-in-windows-vista/ Thanks in advance!
