Does anyone know of a sliding tile screen saver for Vista? I used to have one for XP and it was pretty cool...You could set the size of the tile and when the screen saver kicked in it would make the current desktop slide and interchange by squares.... I have done quite a bit of searching and have seen one for MACs but nothing for Vista? Thanks

"Types" is a GREAT freeware program that lets you change any "file type" icon in Vista. After exhaustive searching most posts on this involve editing the registry etc but NOT with the "Types" little wizard...It does it all in a few clicks in seconds! Yes you can change your file type icon for a particular type file in Vista EASILY now! I find it handy to have different colored music note icons for MP3 and WAV for example so then you clearly can see which type of file you are using when ripping and editing etc! WOW thanks for the very INFORMATIVE link!!! I see I can turn all that file acquisition and LISTING crap off However I still need clarification on the files there in the Searches folders up to now. Can I safely delete them and not have my programs get ruined? I read on a forum elsewhere some guy deleted these files and his programs didn't work then.... Once I can get rid of these files there now, then I will apply the "stop" as stated in the link and my problem will be solved then! Thank you very much for your help!

I noticed in my Vista the other day in C:/USER/"user name/Searches folder that there are several folders full of TONS of CRAP....really listed is every file you moved or looked at / opened for months? I certainly don't want all this CLUTTER... Is there a way to delete the entire contents of this Searches folder with Ccleaner? Note I don't really understand it all but I did some Google searches and somebody cleaned this folder out...that is deleted the contents with Ccleaner and then all the programs that files were listed there did not work? That's what he said anyway...I don't want that to happen...This is why I post to get the info from somebody who knows etc thanks ahead of time!
