  1. First, I'd like to offer my congratulations to the Piriform team for producing such excellent software. I've been running my own PC building and servicing organization for almost twenty years now, and I've developed a passion for simple, clean, effective programs that do their job correctly and without fuss. Computer software is just as much of a tool as is a hammer or a spanner, and nobody needs a tool with embellishments that do nothing to improve its performance. What use is a hammer with flashing lights or a spanner with an integrated sound system? So it was a great pleasure for me to discover Defraggler. I've used Perfect Disk 7.0 for many years now, as (IMHO, it has the best UI of Raxco's products), but I've now adopted Defraggler as my app of choice. I've just run a defrag of my own laptop using Defraggler 1.12 and I think the interface is an improvement over the earlier version. I have just a few minor suggestions that would improve the UI for me: Towards the completion of the defrag, the 'Current State' at lower left reaches '0%' even though the 'Status' of defragmentation at upper right still shows a remaining balance, eg, '90%'. I would have thought it more logical that these two figures should agree? Like, if the top right progress shows 95%, then the bottom left should show 5% remaining? Also, I find it a little confusing that, even after both figures have reached 100%, the little 'vista-type' circle keeps rotating, indicating that the process hasn't fully terminated. Sure enough, it takes a little more time before we see the message 'Defrag complete'. I'd like to see more integration between the actual progress of the process and the reporting. These are only minor gripes, but I feel that they're the sort of thing that might baffle inexperienced users. But overall, guys, I think you've produced a classic Windows application. :-) Well done. PS: Please keep on with the 'Keep It Simple' policy :-)
