  1. I have an old hard drive that I am trying to pull files from. The machine ran Windows 2000 and is no longer able to boot on it's own. I have pulled out the hard drive and I have tried connecting it to my XP machine and a Vista machine to see if I could pull anything from it. I was under the impression that the HDD was a FAT32, however, it now tells me that it is RAW. Is there any way to recover files from a RAW hard drive using Recuva? I have tried running Recuva on the hard drive, but it tells me that it is "unable to read boot sector". I have also selected all of the possible options to include deep scan and scan for non-deleted files. If there is any way to recover my files from my RAW hard drive, please help me! I would rather not pay the $70 to use some of the other software out there, if there is a way to use Recuva to do it for free. If it is not currently possible to recover files from a RAW hard drive, will that be possible in a future version of Recuva? Thanks much for any help!
