Hi all... I've checked if this topic has come up before, but it appears to be a first. The laptop (Packard Bell) of my girlfriend recently crashed, with a defective video card. Packard Bell replaced the entire motherboard, but regrettably (though predictably) they restored the laptop to factory settings - everything is lost. Now, we have almost everything backed up, except for one emtionally important file: her diary (covering her pregnancy of our babies). Is there any chance, any chance at all, of recovering a file from a laptop restored to factory settings, or is it completely and utterly lost? I've run Recova with a few variations of the settings, but so far without result... So, is there any hope, do you think? Many, many thanks in advance!
