I recently upgraded to IE8 and upgraded to the current version of CCleaner. Now, every time I run CCleaner, it sticks on IE's index.dat file at 5% progress. I even unchecked the box for scanning index.dat files and still have the same problem. I reverted back to an older version of CCleaner and still had the same problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem and does anyone have any suggestions for correcting it? (short of uninstalling IE8)

I reverted back to 2.18.878 and am still having the same problem. Anyone else running IE8 having this problem?

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling....and did a fresh bootup.....Same problem. I'm going to uninstall and switch back to a previous version....Seems like my recent upgrade to IE8 is the problem....Any help is appreciated....

I updated to the current version of CCleaner (2.19.901) and now everytime I run it, it gets stuck at 5% on internet explorers index.dat file. I even tried un-checking the index.dat box. I'm using IE8.....any ideas on what's wrong? I have not tried uninstalling and reinstalling yet.... The program still seems like it is functioning as I can hear the processor working, but there is no progress change....I've waited as long as 10 minutes. If I click on cancel, then the program locks up and I have to shut it down with task manager. Thanks for the help.
