  1. I just updated Adobe Shockwave to the latest version. Adobe Shockwave has an Identical display with the same two boxes to uncheck if one does not want Chrome. I unchecked the Chrome boxes and Adobe Shockwave installed perfectly. This tells me that the problem is with the Piriform install package. Not my Machine. I will try the Portable Version soon. Strange that no one that works for Pirifrom reads or cares about its software problems here. Thanks for trying to help.
  2. Kroozer, Tried your suggestion, no version later then v2.10.424 will install. See error message below. Obviously Piriform change something in the installs after v2.10.424. Thanks for trying to help. I may try the Portable version later,
  3. All versions since v2.10.424 crash on install. v2.10.424 is the last version that will install on my machine. All the installs crash when I attempt to uncheck the "include Google Chrome" box. The versions I have tried and they all crash in the same place are: 2.11.560 2.12.628 2.13.670 I am running W7Pro 64/8g ram I have no problems installing other software. Any Ideal why this is happening or has anyone else had this problem? I have not tried to install with the "include Google Chrome" because I do not want it on my machine. I have no use for Google Chrome at this time, Is Google Chrome is being forced upon us? Thanks,
  4. I really like defraggler but had an experience. I am posting this for general information. I started a defrag on ?C? but stopped the defrag for a moment to delete the temporary internet files. I then re-analyzed the drive but it failed and gave an error. (I did not write the error down and forgot exactly what was stated, seems like it was just one word) Anyway I decided to reboot. Upon rebooting, the bios saw the harddrive but displayed ?Error Loading Operating System?. I have removable drives so I booted another machine to have a look, Windows Disk Management saw the harddrive but showed that the drive did not have a file system. I then booted from my Windows CD & performed a FIXMBR & FIXBOOT. This took care of the problem. I thought about trying to repeat the sequence of events but back out for now, that was quite a scare.
