Okay. I did system recovery on my Windows XP before and after losing everything I used Recuva and got all my files back (on the same hard drive, if that helps) However, I need to do system recovery again and I was wondering if Recuva will be able to recover lost files after a SECOND system recovery. Thanks in advance! Any sort of help is appreciated!

I used recuva and I seem to have everything back but they won't work or open when I click them (music, photos, etc) so someone suggested a deep scan. I'm kind of new at this and I want to know what to do and how that actually helps. Thanks in advance! Edit: Forgot to mention that I'm working on a computer with a reformatted hard drive and I'm trying to get my files back.
