  1. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Thought I would give the latest version a try (3.5) Same problems as mentioned above. The last time I was using IE8. I am now using IE9 and Firefox. going back to version 2.36 which works with no problems at all.....
  2. using latest version 3.02. Vista home premium and IE. After surfing the internet, I start ccleaner and check cookies. There are no cookies listed in either column (to delete/save). When I check 'user name/app data/roaming/microsoft/windows/cookies/low' it is full of cookies. Prior version 2.36 has no problems at all. Had this same problem with first release of V3, but decided to try it again. Any thoughts
  3. Bernard, You might get a response to your problem if you start your own thread and not hi-jack mine.
  4. I am using Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 2 and IE Ver 8. The prior version of cccleaner works great. Never had any problems with any of the prior Versions.
  5. Okay, the first time I installed the new version, I installed over the prior one. This time I uninstalled and removed any ref to cccleaner. Then I installed the new version. Prior to going on the internet, I checked the cookies and it showed NO cookies in the column to delete and NO cookies in the column to be saved. After going on the internet, I logged into my homepage and then spent time going to other sites. After exiting from the internet, I ran cccleaner. At first I check the cookie colums and there were no cookies listed. Decided to go back to prior version and it works okay. Think I will stay with prior version.
  6. Hi Dennis, thanks for your response. The only cookie that appears for yahoo is my.yahoo.com. Some of the others are fancast.com and tvguide.com. When I get time, I will play around and see if I can figure out anything. If I do, I'll let you know. Thanks again for your response
  7. example: I put the cookie for my.yahoo.com in the cookies to keep. After I run the analysis and the cleaner I checked the cookies to keep and it is still there. However when I go to the internet to my home page (my.yahoo.com), it doesn't know who I am. This happens for all the cookies I keep with login info. Does not happen to earlier versions which I went back too.
  8. Thanks for the reply. Should have mentioned that I was doing that also. (excluding index.dat). I'll take your advice and also untick index.dat. However, I never had to do that before. I guess that's the price to pay for upgrading to IE8 Thanks again for the reply
  9. same problems with current version as with prior version with IE8. ex: save cookie for my.yahoo.com do an analyse and run cccleaner. When done, I check and the cookie is there according to saved cookies. Restart PC and go to my.yahoo.com and it asks for my login info. The only way to make it work it to exclude the folder that contains the cookies.
