  1. It used to be I would run a scan with Recuva (after almost daily cleanings with CCleaner) and spot a file at end of a date sequence and write it down. Then I would wait about three or four days and check back with another scan and the file name would be gone, evidently erased from the Master File Table. I am still spending about the same amount of time on my pc but am seeing things on the scan that are a lot older than three or four days. Also there are gaps in the dates. The ones I have listed below are bunches of files names for each date. 3-14-09 3-19-09 3-20-09 3-28-09 4-05-09 4-07-09 4-08-09 I haven't changed any settings on Recuva or CCleaner that I can remember that would for account for the difference in what I see on the Recuva scans. When I scan I see about 18,000 files on the Scan 1 and about 3000 on the Scan 2.
  2. After adding the two files shown in the image I run an a "Analyze" with CCleaner and the second listed .dat file shows up on the to be deleted list and not the first one. I guess something could be amiss with the first one as I can delete it manually and it is gone but when I use Super WinSpy and go to the location to open it it shows the file still there and still containing the same 113 files even though the size has actually dropped from 176kb to 64kb. Have been messing with this all morning. Appreciate any info.
