  1. Hi, I have some suggestions for Defraggler. 1) Show Piriform's logo on the right of the bar menu (button right floated and linking to website/forum with auto loggin) 2) Add the option to "defrag only windows registry". 3) synchronize the panel size and the translation of the last option in "Settings \ Options \ Advanced". when you roll between languages you keep the last translation. ie : "Arrêter les copies fantôme pendant la défragementation d'un vo" "Stop VSS when defragmenting NTFS volume" 4) Add a wash option (like JkDefragGUI) to wipe deleted data of free space and MFT. 5) Have a custom start for the 'defrag Freespace' by clicking on the drive map. I mean if I only want to make a quick defrag of the white space (writting big files) by right clicking 'start from here'. 6) Allocate more than 131Mo of RAM if available - it usually let about 1Go of free DDR! What about to allocate the free space of some other drives if this can speed up the defragmentation 7) Add a historic (with a backup file) to follow drives usage and statistics (treemap sorted by Defraggler versions) 8) The view of the drive is floated to the left. So in full screen there is much space on the right. I would appreciate to have an automatic size to full panel. Or to have the disk's view to a prefered size and the status panel to the maximum. By "prefered size" I mean the size when the pie chart is maximum (not crushed at all) As the drives list is already known, the size of the upper layout can also be set to minimum. And so the blocks graphic could fullfill the screen. Within the drives list, it may be possile to autofit the columns size to their content or their headers (depending string size in selected language) Note that in version 2.8.0.373, when you double click with the limit selection cursor you get much white space and no automatic adjustment. Moreover I actually set the version 2.09.391. And by default I have only full screen size with all parts compressed on the upper. So I resized them manualy (again). 9) Remove the disks list for having a 3D view of the current or analysed drive. The drive information will be display below the drive like in the properties panel. So they will be only two panels. The upper for the drives letters and 3D drawing. And below another for tabs (including the drives list - which offers an overview of the entire system But I think is redundant). The render will be more real. We can have as much pie charts as disk trays. And the files will still be within square clusters. But with a slider to turn the disk tray. NB: I don't have much expérience in programming but I would really appreciate to contribute. I am looking for the metrics of drives and files. Thanks
  2. Hi, I have few suggestions for ccleaner. 1) Show Piriform's logo on the right of the bar menu (button right floated and linking to website/forum with auto loggin) 2) account the amount of data removed by ccleaner (throught all version). 3) Add the option for search and wipe registry issue. 3) Add the ability to add scripts or selections from the community. As we can provide/export our custom selection. I mean I never used the sounds or pictures of windows. So I had there locations to my custom list. 4) I would like to know if Ccleaner can look for unused language repertory and files ? Is there a way to spécifie a regular expression or alike ? I mean some software (like Apple i.e. iTunes/ipod/quicktime) creates lots of files within repertories like "de.lproj". Manualy I recover about 150Mo (not so much) but why should I let them occupy my disk ? I sugest to have another interface for the custom files and folders selections : a tree view with checkboxes ? It will be more efficent than selecting the excluded thus the included files/rep. ex: http://terai.xrea.jp...thCheckBox.html 5) I installed ccleaner for a friend she did not recognize the broom on the icon. Is it too slanted? 6) I used the french language parameter. I when I run the Cleaner I noted that it doesn't translate its processing steps. Thanks
  3. Hi, (i apologize for my poor english) I made an image of my games partition (116.4 GB NTFS with 57.1GB used). I defragmented it with an old norton product I set again the image and tried piriform. - With Norton SpeedDisk : 0h27 Windows (dfrg.msc) shows only blue - With Defraggler 1.03.094 : Automatic : ~3h10 to get to 54% and freezes? Manual : Selected all file\Defrag Checked then Action\Advanced\Defrag Freespace After 0h35 and 7 passes of that method, it still leaves a file (fallout1 audio 4317ko unused). Defraggler can defrag the file but after that leaves some free space fragmented And when i Defrag the freespace (without 'allowing'), the file is fragmented... So overall it took : 0h42 (and still one fragmented file) Windows (dfrg.msc) show a Red line (the fragmented file) Overall Piriform Defraggler is a good product (light, effective and has very good look) but i may suggest some ideas : - spreads a binairy form eg the two zipped file (the installation doesn't bring that much to me) - allocate more than the 131Mo of RAM if available (Both tools have left about 1.3Go of free DDR!) what about to allocate the free space of some other drives if this can speed up the defragmentation - add a "defrag windows registry" otpion - Quicker 'pause' and 'stop' button - Set the upper window resizing (drives) to see all drives and caracteristics - I mean on two colons - Show Piriform's logo on the right (end of the bar menu) - Show the "Drive Map Legend" as a tool bar - the 7 items integrated after "Action Setting Help" - Add the "Schedule" (option menu tab) to the tool bar - like "Action - Setting - Schedule - Help" - Add a "quick explainations" on the "Help menu" - method, security... - Allow others languages with a file selection (i can help for the french) - Add a square zooming next to the pointer when it flies over the map (like HTML tooltip) - Add a remember option for the presentation of Defraggler - And a File for the drives histories - Add a remember option for the presentation of Defraggler - Add a historic (in one file) to follow drives usage an statistics (and the Defraggler versions) I 'am very impatient to follow the evolution of that great tool you are making. Thank you !
