  1. Alright. All CCleaner registry keys (and their tree counterparts) removed from registry. MS Config reports no Start Up items. Yet still, CCleaner reports that "CCleaner.exe" is among start up keys, as referenced in my picture above. Wonder where on Earth it's pulling this information from, because it sure isn't from my registry. Any ideas where I can get the previous version from?
  2. I'll try that now. What I have done is deleted this registry key. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupfolder\CCleaner.exe] Now. That removes thes "CCleaner.exe" from MS Config > Startup, but amazingly the entry still exists within CCleaner > Tools > Start Up. Time for some more evasive registry hacking methinks
  3. Thanks Davey. Details below. Provide a list of your CCleaner.ini file.( Tick option for Save settings to INI file at Options > Advanced then close CCleaner. This file will be created in C:\Program Files\CCleaner folder.) 4. Hiya. Some very odd happenings with v2.08.588 on Windows Vista SP1. I'll post two screenshots to demonstrate. What are "uninst.exe" and "CCleaner.exe" doing as entries here? If I attempt to remove or disable these two entries from CCleaner > Tools > Start Up, CCleaner physically removes the "uninst.exe" from the system and then generates an error (see pic 2). I've never encountered this behaviour before, and I've been using CCleaner for years. FYI. When installing, I did NOT select for CCleaner to run during startup.
