  1. I evaluated McAfee Site Advisor recently. Uninstalled it. Removed manually all the bits I could find and I thought CCleaner would find any registry entries I had not manually removed. I find " McAfee Antivirus" in the list of applications under CCleaner. ( McAfee Antivirus was used about 2.5 years ago . Since then the disk has been formatted twice). There should not be any trace of McAfee! How to get rid of bits of McAfee leftover?
  2. CCleaner (current version, slim build) reports a file with ie icon (temporary internet file). On requesting it to be deleted, 0 bytes are removed. Running WIN 7 64 bit.
  3. The "Flash" file remains in the folder C:/Windows/System32/macromed The Macromedia folder remains in "Roaming" in AppData. The FlashPlayer folder remains under Adobe folder in "Roaming" in AppData.
  4. Typical File name: RAC1234.tmp Location: C:Windows/Source Profiles/Local Services/AppData/Local (I go into Safe Mode just to ensure that Vista will allow me to delete the files)
  5. CCleaner does not seem to remove all the bits left over from uninstallation of the 64-bit or 32-bit flashplayer fror IE9. Hopefully this will be addressed soon.
  6. If I search for .tmp files in Safe mode there are several RAC.tmp files starting with a few numbers and a letter: A1234RAC.tmp. Seem to be created by Outlook 2007, but I am not sure. No malware on the machine. Sun JRE has been uninstalled. Please include a feature to remove these files. Thank you.
  7. This may not be the appropriate forum for this question - but experts in cleaning Windows OS may know the answer. The question has also been posted on the Kaspersky forum. Although only one instance of Windows Explorer is running in Vista (X64) task manager, two instances are detected by Kaspersky Internet Security. I hope someone will shed some light on this for me. Thanks in advance.
  8. Do CCleaner and Defraggler install any non plug and play drivers which can be viewed under hidden devices in Device Manager? I am running Vista 64. This information would be useful for troubleshooting or if I choose to uninstall CCleaner and or Defraggler - I want to ensure that there is no 'residue'. Thank you in advance.
  9. First of all thank you for a great program. May I suggest that you add a feature to determine and remove broken CLSID's. Second, if there is a way of cleaning registry debris from uninstalled printers, this would also be useful.
