  1. yes, I've hit 'run cleaner' many times. It keeps saying '0 bytes removed'. When I go back to 'analyse' there's the same list with the first 7 lines starting 'marked for deletion: (then the pathway)' This list is always there even when I switch off the laptop and go back later.
  2. I've just used CCleaner to clean up my drives (mainly to get rid of index.dat files) but I can't understand the analysis. It says the following: "(5.25MB to be removed) Details of files to be deleted (Note: No files have been deleted yet)" I keep running the cleaner but it always says the same thing, even when I have rebooted. I can't think of anything else to try. Why does it keep telling me the files will be deleted, but without actually deleting them? I'm new to all this so apologies if it's something really simple I can't seem to grasp. It's a steep learning curve. Grateful for any advice JPC
