AND Final note here ... The problem is in RegistryFix 6.1 as I let it go ahead and delete all that it found and then rebooted and I could not get back to my desktop. I went into safe mode and restored the backup file within RegistryFix and rebooted and went straight to my desktop. Now the very long task of one by one file deletions and one after another reboots to find which file is not to be deleted ... now this is about ridiculous LOL
Another Edit ... CCleaner is fine, sorry for the bother. I forgot I also use RegistryFix v6.1 so now I will run process through it to see if it is deleting something I need ... which it now shows 229 errors for the past month or two that I have not been able to keep up on cleaning. Perhaps the problem is in this. If not, then PerfectDisk would be the only thing left to see what is going on. Thank You
Nevermind my question I have below ... I came back up here to edit to say that I am doing my clean in registry one file at a time, creating system restore points before allowing one file to be deleted and then rebooting after each file is deleted. I figure I will eventually find whatever it is that is being deleted that should not be deleted. I will come back if I continue with the issue. I have always first ran CCleaner and then ran PerfectDisk so whatever is causing this is between these two programs.
I have been using CCleaner for about four years. The past month or two when using it and then rebooting I am not brought to my desktop. I always save the backup reg file but I have gone in safe mode to get to that file and still I am not able to get to my desktop once I reboot. I keep having to do system restore in order to get to my desktop. I have not been able to clean my computer now for a month or two and the errors are adding up. How can I know what file to choose not to be deleted rather than to have to keep doing system restore and taking back all errors?
