Hello Forum,
Cclean is not deleteing cookies after cleaning. Why is this.
Badcompany.

Well, there is of cause CCleaner's Wipe Freepace - a safe choice. Also Revo Uninstaller have some very effective settings but even though I'm just an average user, I would not recommend that program unless I knew for certain that it was to be used by an experienced person. Revo Uninstaller has a lot of risk potential in the wrong hands.
Hi ePost,
I had never noticed Wipe Freespace before in CCleaner. Thanks.

HELLO fORUM,
Anyone used Webroot Window Washer recently, I used it about 3years ago but it was very heavy.I'm looking for something to clean the free space on my disks.

Can't think why that would happen by deleting those files.
Try running Firefox in "Safe Mode", and see if the same thing happens. I've seen references to this problem caused by one Firefox extension or another.
That being the case, the culprit could possibly be the update to one of your extensions.
Worth a try.
Hi DennisD,
Tried for 1 hr, in the end I Reinstalled FF. Back to normal. Its computer gremlins again.

The files sam mentioned are there, although you would need to go into "Tools\Folder Options\View" and scroll down to the "Hide Extensions For Known File Types" box and uncheck it to see the ini extension.
Hi DennisD,
Ok, found all three files thanks. Will delete.

Possibly the catch has messed up.
Delete these three files. It will not harm firefox in any way or change anything.
filePath = "C:\Documents and Settings\Sam\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\5jzf3e8r.default\extensions.cache"filePath2 = "C:\Documents and Settings\Sam\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\5jzf3e8r.default\extensions.ini"filePath3 = "C:\Documents and Settings\Sam\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\5jzf3e8r.default\extensions.rdf"
I pasted this from a script i wrote so edit the user name and your profile folder will be different.

Do you have Adobe Flash Player checked, or Macromedia if you have it listed in Applications\Multimedia?
The items listed could be stored in Flash Cookies.
There's also a Flash Cookie (settings.sol file) CCleaner doesn't pick up yet, and it's located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys
Hope that helps.
Hi DennisD,
I don't have Adobe Flash Player checked, Because CCleaner deletes my recipes binder on the BBC Food web-site.

I just checked the box in Adobe and ran ccleaner, All the cookies where deleted. Thanks DennisD.

Hello Forum,
Which one would you purchase and why: DLink DIR 100 / Linksys BEFSX41 or Netgear RP 614. I can't decide.

Hello Forum,
I moved from Comodo FW to Online-Armor FW, This is a super FW, very easy to set-up and the support is far superior compared to Comodo. Just try it , You won't be disappointed.

Just had a look on the site, my error, I thought you meant it was stored online.......
How does the Recipe Binder work?
Our binder is a Flash application that stores links to recipes on your computer. The binder enables you to easily store a list of links to your favourite recipes, so that you don?t have to search for them. You build up the binder by choosing to add recipes to your binder. The notes you add to any recipes are stored on your own computer as well.
Can I see my binder from other machines?
No. Because the data is stored locally on your own machine, you can only view it from your machine. This functionality may be introduced in the future.
Hi Hazenut,
Sorry, I thought is was stored online. So what do I change now in CCleaner.

That is an unusual thing to have happen! I don't really know how CCleaner can wipe out something stored on a website.
Have you first tried in options >cookies to save the BBC website where they are stored?
Perhaps also try unticking Autocomplete form history as a test also.
Cookies are in ( Keep Cookies.) and autocomplete form is unticked by default.
-
What is the location where they are stored?
You are able to excude exclude folders using the options tab.
Hi Hazelnut,
The recipes are stored on the BBC food web-site, under recipe binder.

Hi BC,
Fancy meeting you here. I wonder how many other Wilders' are here also. As far as your question is concerned, I was only able to find very little information on TrackMeNot that does not relate to the FF extension. What I was able to find had to do with various freeware spyware scanners. Please be more specific.
Nate
Hi n8chavez,
I was referring to the FF extension, but there is no info on the program. Just found all the info on TrackMeNot.
