  1. I don't have it checked. My understanding is that 'History' and 'Recently typed URL's' are the information I need to remove, and I'd like to keep my form history, but I will definitely try it in case I am wrong. Thanks for the suggestion...... JPJ
  2. Hello, I have been using CCleaner for some time now. I use Windows XP with IE and Firefox Browsers. From what I can tell, It has appeared to function as promoted. Yesterday, I installed Safari for Windows Beta 3. I now find that the URL history list contains all the web addresses that I have previously entered. I have just installed the latest version of CCleaner. I have run the program, analyzed and cleaned my system, and restarted the computer to clean the DAT files which were marked for deletion. All history appears to be removed from IE. I return to Safari and find that the drop down url list still contains the URL history. I run CCleaner again. The program marks for deletion the index.dat files for the "Owner" account which I am currently logged in to. I also add to the list of custom files, folders containing the index.dat files for Administrator, and the one other user account which exists. I run the cleaner and restart the PC again. I run Safari and find that the drop down URL list still contains it's history. I realize that the Windows Safari release is brand new, and will require some time for integrating any changes into CCleaner that may be required BUT, the list of URL's that I am seeing represents URL's that appear to be months, if not years old, and which could not have been created by anything other than the IE browser. I expect that these should all be files known to CCleaner. Has anyone else experienced this behaviour? If I am using the program improperly, I would appreciate any advise to resolve my problem. If not, the fact that IE appears to be cleaned and secure, yet this data still exists on my computer represents a serious FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY for all users that needs to be addressed. I am hoping that it is simply my mistake in using the software. I thank you in advance for any insight you may have. . . . JPJ
