  1. I think there should be a feature, an addon like the registry cleaner, but to delete selected files at startup (to delete files in use)
  2. I have this exact same issue, if I click check for update, both internet browsers open, and if I click the ccleaners link in the "about" menu, it opens in both as well... I'm on vista x64 and have made sure that all the associations were with firefox only...

click registry... is that the box your looking for? thats the only thing I can think of that has to do with "check for problems" it was.. "scan for issues"
  4. the run CCleaner/open CCleaner entries can be added via the options menu in CCleaner and it WILL add them.. or at least it did for me... it just wouldn't do it on install automatically... and about the registry... it could be that CCleaner is finding/removing entries that some program keeps putting back... but CCleaner doesn't really do much as far as the registry cleaner.. I mean.. it cleans it up.. but its nothing major if you don't use it... or have a few entries... so it leaving a couple registry entries that it thinks are bad... doesn't mean your computer is screwed...
  5. ah, see my problem is that once I install something I usually get rid of the installer... (say some trial version of nero) so in order to uninstall it... I would have to go re-download that again =( or keep the installers... so, thats why I suggest people don't clean that ty for the info
  6. hey, I would just like to let vista users know about this issue I have noticed since I started using vista and CCleaner it may have been in XP as well, but I did not notice it then... I'm not sure which one it is exactally but either "hotfix uninstallers" under advanced or "config.mis folder" under windows... but after cleaning those, I cannot uninstall/modify quite a few programs as the msi installers are missing...I have noticed it with nero, diskeeper, and some others that I don't remember off the top of my head...
