  1. Only other thing I can think of is At Internet Options > Advanced tab Click on Restore advanced options and try IE. If that does not work then At Internet Options > Advanced tab Click on Reset to reset all IE Explorer settings, etc.

    Good luck,

    :) davey

P.S. Other than what YoKenny reports below you may also want to review this MS Blog site. I don't know what was on your system when and if you went to SP3. Note all that is said as regards IE6,IE7 and IE8.

All else fails this IE8 Beta site will be helpful.

Davey, it is not possible to open Internet Options (doesn't work too).

    Will check those 2 links.

  2. Well, yesterday it was D-Day for my PC. I did put the Back-Up back on C. What I saw during the process made me smile a little, all my deleted files popped up again. When it was finished I clicked the IE Button, same Problems!

It seems impossible to get it fixed. It could be right, you're not able to turn back from IE8 to IE7 again.

  3. davey,

I do not use the Registry cleaner since I've been writing on this Forum. Only, when my PC starts up. CCleaner cleans the regular stuff and not the Registry's. (I think/hope).

When I this afternoon downloaded IE7, I did after that the Reboot.

Perhaps you are right with your remark "you can't go back from IE8".

Note: I don't want IE8, just IE7 as a backup system for FF.

  4. I changed IE7 into IE8, bur ran into a lot of problems with IE8 and got fad up with it. So I changed to IE7 again.

As usual I did the CCleaner scan and also the Registryscan and removed what was found. (but saved what it did remove in a file).

While IE7 didn't work, I used the System Restore Point of one day before the change IE7->IE8. But that didn't help to. I did the 'search for damages and repair it' feature on the C-disc. No (better) result.

I removed with the REVO Uninstaller, IE7 completely, did a reboot and downloaded IE7 new. No better result.

  5. Today I downloaded IE7 (again) en after that I tried if it would work, no

I also did the 'search and repair' option on my C-disc. Didn't give a better result to.

What do you suggest? Shall I perform a system restore with Date 2-3 days before the Problems started? Or better not?

  6. Hi Harry07,

You have done exceptionally well,Harry, for a very inexperienced user and trying to get help in a foreign language.

You have done so well I did not realize that you are a relative inexperienced PC user.

I apologize for that. I always try to keep the viewpoint of a "newbie" user and I forgot all about it with you.

    NO PROBLEM ;)

I was misled by one of your translations for the logs. That it why I thought some of the programs were mixed up between IE7 and IE8.

What I mean by system specifications can found at the top of your CCleaner window in what is called the Banner area.

    SEE ATTACHED

I looked but I could not find any mention in your posts as to what OS you are using WinXP ? Vista ?

I use Windows XP Professional edition Service Pack 3. (This is WinXP Pro SP3)

    I USE WIN-XP-P WITH SP3 TO

Do you use other browsers like Firefox on your PC ?

THE ONLY ONE I CAN USE AT THIS MOMENT IS FF. IE = DEAD (THAT'S WHY I TRY TO SOLVE THE INSSUE)

How have you been communicating with us ?

    FF

  7. Here's the 7001 Information:

I try to translate it all.

?The connection management for RAS-Service is depending of the Telephony-Service, who because of the following fault couldn?t be started. Cannot start the Service because it is switched off or because there are no devices connected with it?

Clicking the Link I get (see attached).

    Hope you understand.

  8. Just thought of something.

I let CCleaner remove the Registry Keys it finds, and after that I restore the largest one (not the last one ;)) That should be Nov. 19th. If that doesn't do anything, i will restore the 17th to.

But I'll wait until some of you respond to my suggestion.

Anyone an idea if this possible works?

  9. Did you restore more than one registry backup? If so in which order? You only needed to restore the backup made before IE stopped working, which is I think the last large one.

Ups! I restored them all, including those of the date of downloading IE8 (not before that date).

  10. Do you get a window asking you to report the problem to Microsoft?

    NO

I think that these screenshots are what they are telling you about. They are not the problem

Have you looked in Event Viewer to see what error windows is getting?

    NO

    Start>control panel> administative tools>event viewer.

Hope I understood you. Is this what you mean? (ignore the language ;))
