  1. Dang... I went to your link and downloaded the files (the upper-most link on the left side that said "download", correct?) and restarted then installed CCleaner again...to no avail. It always gets hung up on the same spot. It has something to do with (I say this as closely as I can remember it): CCSubtimer/dll or somthing like that. Only on that spot, too. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help so far. Barry
  2. Hi, sorry I forgot to mention that. I am running a Pentium 4 on Microsoft XP Home Edition, and using Norton Symantec Antivirus Client (corporate) Edition for Virus protection. I admit I am not the most computer-skilled person, and when these probs come up, I don't know how to fix them. If you have any other questions, or think of any possible solutions, please tell me:) Thank you, Barry
  3. Hi Guys, New member here, just wanted to ask if anyone knew why my CCleaner software which has worked perfectly for a long time suddenly will not operate correctly. It started many weeks ago, so I deleted the software, removed every known trace of it off my pc via Control Panel, then tried to reinstall...every single time, it loads the program on (downloads it then asks if it is okay to open an exec. file), brings up a shortcut application to my desktop, then when I try to open it and officially get it finalized and up and running...it gets halfway through the progress meter then immediately says "CCleaner has encountered and error and needs to close". Soooo aggrevating! It actually installs it on my hard drive (have to later remove it AGAIN from Control Panel)...but will never let me open the exec. file on my desktop and actually initiate the program for the first time...crashes about halfway through the progress meter. Anybody know what's going on? Many thanks in advance! Barry
