CCleaner closing after cleaning

Recommended Posts

Hi!

CCleaner runs when the computer starts, but it closes after cleaning, although it's set not to.

How to solve that?

CCleaner Pro latest version

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

Intel Core i7 8700, 3.20GHz, 32GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

Bitdefender Total Security 2021

I think you'll find that is what is suppose to happen.

The 'shutdown after cleaning' option is only enforced when CC is manually started. (and the option is ticked)

using the /auto switch, the shutdown after cleaning is always enforced.

Parameter Explanation
CCleaner.exe /AUTO

CCleaner runs silently and automatically, using the current set of saved options to clean the PC. CCleaner then exits.

CCleaner.exe /AUTO /SHUTDOWN

CCleaner runs silently and automatically, using the current set of saved options to clean the PC. Windows then shuts down automatically..
Note: You cannot run /SHUTDOWN by itself. It must be preceded by /AUTO.

I don't think so.  At least it didn't use to happen before. This behavior started three days ago.

CCleaner always ran at startup, cleaned what had to be cleaned and continued monitoring from the system tray.

OK, let's start with how you are starting CC?

And with what options?

What version, free or Pro?  (Dennis just kindly pointed out my complete lack of reading your sig) :)
