File Finder help

Yes - with fear and trepidation :o

A duplicate file is SOMETIMES redundant and it will never be missed if you remove it,

but sometimes removal leads to disaster.

It is your responsibility to either :-

determine whether it is safe to delete a duplicate;

or have a stringent backup / recovery procedure to restore normality after disaster;

or have Windows Installation discs at the ready.

@ronaroll,

without any malice or sarcasm intended, the File Finder has great potential to make things worse and a little possibility to make only the slightest improvement.

so if anyone were to offer suggestions on how to use it and then you found things went pear-shaped, you would not be a happy camper.

@Alan_B hit the nail on the head with the excellent point - have a Plan B ready (backups, reinstalls etc)

Backup now & backup often.
It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.
Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
