SUPERJERRY1234
Hi, I've reached out to CCleaner via email but gotten nothing back. I have this issue where CCleaner keeps disabling Steam Client Service each time upon restart or shutdown. I've tried everything I could think of but yet it still won't stay enabled. So, every time I start Steam it asks to reinstall the service just because It's not enabled by default and when I enable it then Steam runs like normal. I need help figuring out why CCleaner keeps disabling the service on startup each time I enable it.
SUPERJERRY1234
Some context. Upon setting Client Service to Manual in Windows seems to disable the service in CCleaner but setting to Automatic allows me to keep it enabled. I'm unsure if it will stay set as manual upon next restart or shutdown
Moderators nukecad Posted September 8 Moderators Share Posted September 8 It might help if you said just which parts of CCleaner your are running, nowadays there are different parts that do different things. ie Are you running Health Check?, Custom Clean?, Performance Optimizer?, Smart Cleaning?, Registry Cleaning? any of the others? Are you using winapp2, or any other enhancer for CCleaner? *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Keep getting logged out of websites? redwolfe_98
if you have ccleaner's "performance optimizer" set to put the "steam client service" to sleep that could be causing the problem.
