Daivd
After I run ccleaner all the links I've visited no longer appear as having been read - I'm sure that I must be able to prevent this, but I'm not sure how. Can anyone help? Thanks

Daivd
In Options, select the cookies for such sites and put them in the cookies to keep column. Thanks Glenn. I may have solved my own problem by changing the "cleaner setting" for applications where I unchecked "Internet History". I was reluctant to try to save all the cookies, as there would be hundreds of them - 1 for each article I read at each site.
Glenn
Each site should use only one cookie to track all the articles read, e.g., <username>@forum.ccleaner.com for this site, but if you use a lot of sites, it could still be a problem.
