mseiler Posted June 3, 2017 Share Posted June 3, 2017 I have a 1TB external drive that had about 300 GB of data stored on it. I used it to clone my 297 GB PC hard drive by mistake. Acronis cloning software was used for the cloning. It reformatted the external drive and and then cloned the 297GB. Can Recuva recover the original data on the external drive? If so, the external drive is only showing that it is 297GB rather than 1TB, so would I have to expand the drive first, or how would I get Recuva to look at the whole 1TB drive? Thanks for your help.
