lothian
I want to scan a specific directory on a specific drive for specific file types. I intuitively drill down on the target folder in both Windows Explorer and within Recuva proper, but there is no option presented to recover deleted files within a specific point in the hierarchy as one would expect. It seems the only option within this 1.x release file recovery freeware is to run a wholesale "deep scan" against the entire drive, which is utter overkill, and then parse the litany of extraneous files. Bogus. How is it NetWare wrote a utility forty years ago that makes recovering deleted files a trivial process, yet nothing functionally close has ever existed in the ensuing decades of NTFS' existence. Ponderous.
