Recovering specific file types not on the wizard?

Hello,

 

Recently I had to wipe my entire drive and I have been using Recuva to find my old files with success so far. I was wondering if it was possible for Recuva to find specific file types ONLY, such as .sim files or .package files not listed as options in the wizard. 

 

Note: I would like to find these uncommon files types WITHOUT doing a full file search. In order to recover any files up to this point I had to use Deep Scan, and all of the recovered files have no listed file location. My system has over 2TB of storage and has been active for 2+ years, which means that a full Deep Scan search would probably take over a week. This would not be preferable.
