SMalik
I have Windows 10 64-bit. I did a clean install. CCleaner gets stuck when wiping Internet Explorer history.
SMalik
The entries listed below in Winapp2.ini are causing this issue. In [MS Search More*] entry, FileKey1 thru FileKey8 are locked locations. Whenever CCleaner tries to wipe the files there, it causes issues for Internet Explorer. I suggest the removing of these entries from Winapp2.ini.[MS Search More*]LangSecRef=3025Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\WindowsDefault=FalseFileKey1=%CommonAppData%\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows|Windows.edbFileKey2=%CommonAppData%\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows\GatherLogs\SystemIndex|*.*|RECURSEFileKey3=%CommonAppData%\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows\Projects\SystemIndex\PropMap|*.*|RECURSEFileKey4=%CommonAppData%\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows\Projects\SystemIndex\SecStore|*.*|RECURSEFileKey5=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows|Windows.edbFileKey6=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows\GatherLogs\SystemIndex|*.*|RECURSEFileKey7=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows\Projects\SystemIndex\PropMap|*.*|RECURSEFileKey8=%LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows\Projects\SystemIndex\SecStore|*.*|RECURSERegKey1=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Search\VolumeInfoCache[saved Search Folders*]LangSecRef=3025Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\WindowsWarning=Can cause issues on Windows 8/8.1!Default=FalseFileKey1=%UserProfile%\Searches|*.search-ms
dvdbane
you should post this in winapp2 thread, not here if both entries cause problem in win 10, prefer add DetectOS instead of removing it
