suszi
Hi I've recently installed CCleaner (3.16.1666) on Windows 7 x86, installed on SSD. Befor installing Visual Studio 2008 & 2010 patches i've disabled Installer Patch Cache, to avoid keeping patch uninstallers, which comsumes a lot of gigabyets... After enabling it again I was installing some other windows patches. Now - option to delete hotfix unistallers is missing. How to enable it? Moderators DennisD Posted March 10, 2012 Moderators Share Posted March 10, 2012 Hi suszi. The "Hotfixes Uninstaller" feature isn't available in Vista and Win7, as the hotfixes are handled in a completely different way. I don't personally know the technicalities of that, but it has been asked about before ... http://forum.pirifor...showtopic=28737 And a reasonable explanation from another site re the same thing ... It appears as though, once Windows 7 applies the patches, the necessary source files are integrated into the windows files repository and any extraneous patch files are removed. So CCleaner does not that the Hotfix Uninstaller option in Windows 7 that it has in XP. http://superuser.com/a/330298 Maybe the devs could supply a better one. Hope that helps.
