lotse
I think you have forgotten the link... I am a great fan of portable apps and also of stand alone applications which don't require installation. Here are the links to the stand alone applications I have - I presume they are therefore also portable.. A43 "explorer" substitute: http://www.primitus.us/a43/ iScribe - email client: http://www.memecode.com/ Xnews - newsgroup reader (yENC compatable) http://xnews.newsguy.com/ Media player classic (doesn't work too well on vista...) http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=82303 Jpeg Cleaner - cleans unneccesary info from jpegs reducing size not quality http://www.rainbow-software.org/programs.html Foxit reader the alternative to adobes pdf reader is also available as a stand alone http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader_2/down_reader.htm Just a word of caution. There are a lot of hacked, unofficial portable apps out there - most don't work or are spyware infected.
