My subscription auto renewed yesterday, despite auto renewal being turned off, when I go to chat, I get this message:
Failed to initialize chat: URI malformed
I have cancelled my subscription, but I want a refund, as I am not going to use this platform anymore, as the price increased by over 160%, so does anyone know what the chat error message is and is there a fix
Iâm not entirely sure if this will work, but I would try going to Cleverbridge directly, click this for their refund request form, give the reason âUnwanted Auto-Renewalâ.
Please let us know how it goes.
Thanks, tried that and got an auto response as follows:
Unfortunately an online refund is not possible for your order and needs to be processed manually.
Please contact our Customer Service Team indicating the reason for the refund. We will process your request within 24 hours.
They are really bad now, just trying to get my refund for an auto renewel that was turned off, might just go through my bank and let them get it back, FFS they dont make it easy
Same problem here. My license auto renewed despite it being turned off and my old credit cards details expired yet I was still charged somehow. Tried waiting for customer support on the chat and you just wait and wait and nothing happens. It would be nice to speak to a human being.
I was waiting on chat for almost 2 hours last night, gave up and now cannot get on chat as it keeps giving me an error message, I am going to dispute the charge with my bank tomorrow and treat it as an unauthorised withdrawal, which it is. I was sent an email in Apr last year, confirming that the auto renewal was not active, checked on my account and it say that auto renewal is off, then they still take it WTF, I am going to delete it as soon as I get my money back.
I am currently using Microsoft PC Manager, which does almost the same as ccleaner, but is free
I kept getting emails to say that my license was expiring soon, then out of the blue Friday I received an email saying successful payment for your subscription and it had been renewed. Iâm still not sure how theyâve managed to authorise it because my old card expired in August. The payment is still pending at the moment but the money is due to leave my bank tomorrow. I think I will call them and dispute the charge the same as you. It shouldnât be this difficult to cancel a service that you donât want. It seems a lot of people are having this issue. If you have any luck let me know.
Just got this email, from I am assuming a bot ROFLMFAO

Hey there. We see youâve been busy reading, which is fantastic, so weâve promoted you up a trust level!
Weâre really glad youâre spending time with us and weâd love to know more about you. Take a moment to fill out your profile, or feel free to start a new topic.
Thatâs an automated message and what it means is one of the moderators upped your member level on the forum so you can post images. So actually, a good thing.
Maybe not, i reread it and looked at your member level and Iâm wrong. Just another stupid aspect to the (not so) new (anymore) platform theyâve shimmied us into
Thatâs a Cleverbridge form not a CCleaner form.
Cleverbridge are payment/subscription processors for many software companies, not just CCleaner.
You need to answer that particular question by the -Please select- itâs a drop-down multiple choice, click the down arrow on the right.
That gives you the choices:
Itâs worrying that we canât even contact anyone or talk to a human being. The customer service is abysmal. It makes you think who is actually working for them when they wonât even put you through to an agent on the Support Chat.
Interesting, that looks like a different, but similar, page, is it the exact same url? https://support.cleverbridge.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Another thought, are you possibly already logged into Cleverbridge when you see that?
There can be reasons why things donât always show up on webpages.
Adblockers, and Browser security settings of âStrictâ can block parts of webpages.
The browser strict settings usually warn you about it, (but people tend to skip over the warnings).
