I have installed CCleaner v. 7 and am very disappointed. I’ve used CCleaner for years, almost exclusively for cookie management. The cookie management features in v. 7 seem to be truncated and dumbed down. Would you please send me instructions for downloading and restoring CCleaner 6.39. Do I have to uninstall v. 7 first?
The best way is restore whole computer to previous state, to avoid problems, which new CCleaner could caused.

You seem to have exactly the same issues I have. This version 7 is a mess. The GUI isn’t very professional with the left hand menus overlapping on a new page or box. It’s slower doing routine things like cleaning the registry than before and the worst thing for me was it upgraded drivers which didn’t work and rendered sound and my touch screen inoperable. It wouldn’t roll back to the previous drivers and even a system restore wouldn’t fix the issue. I had to get the drivers off another laptops hard drive. I absolutely HATE this new version 7. Why fix something that isn’t broken???
Does the CCleaner free version also has this forced updating feature? Anyone know where can I download a copy of the latest update of CCleaner version 6?

Sorry, I neglected to indicate that I was looking for the free version.
That link downloads an installer that installs the CCleaner v6.39 Free version.
(If you are rolling back from v7 you then need put in a licence key after downloading/installing if you want to activate v6.39 as Pro).
Great, this is helpful. If I may pursue this one last step further, does the free version, as I asked above, also have the forced update after a year feature?

I made an account to EMPHATICALLY agree with the original poster of this thread. @nukecad, I enthusiastically thank you for posting that link to the 6.39 version of CCleaner.
I am amazed how CCleaner would make a seemingly diluted version of its previous applications. What has been nice about CCleaner for so long is that one could be relatively detailed as to what extraneous files one would want to scrub from their computer. Now everything on CCleaner 7 is generalized and dumbed down.
CCleaner, please do NOT go this route of assuming your users need simpler software. This presumption airs on the side of disrespecting those who have used your application for nearly 10 years, like myself. Please presume competency in those who download your application, as you have in ways past. Or, at minimum, please make an advanced version AND KEEP IT AVAILABLE. Please!
I appreciate what you guys have done in applications past. But not with CCleaner 7.
