I’m not sure if this has been discussed. I assume my prior paid version was automatically uninstalled or overwritten with the new cc7 installation. I am on a Windows 10 desktop machine which does not have the “Trusted Platform Module”, which means I will be getting a new computer system soon. This adds a level of complexity in transferring my subscription when the new machine gets installed. But the problem at hand is as stated in the topic line.
I’m not sure about the repeating prompt to install, although some others have also reported that they are seeing it.
Could you screenshot it for us please, so we can see just what form it takes?
However your title says ‘Purchased’ and your post says you already had v6 professional, so this will probably be of interest:
PS. Transferring your CCleaner to a new machine is simple, install CCleaner Free on the new machine and Activate it using your existing licence key, uninstall CCleaner Pro from the old machine. Job done.
Nukecad: Thank you for your response. It appears I did indeed ignore my v6 license, assuming that the v7 installation would somehow take the existing license into account. So the installation prompt must be for the v6 license renewal. The graphic features of the “prompt window” look like ccleaner but does not show any version designation. It just has an install button. Out of an abundance of caution against further complication I have just been closing the window with the upper right x button which pops open a caution window, which exact verbiage I cannot recall at this time. I will attempt to screenshot at the next occurrence.
