No longer loads properly

CCleaner 7 loads a black square and stops. Reinstall did not fix it.

I used Revo uninstaller to remove the old version. The new version acts exactly the same.

Please follow these steps to help us investigate the issue:

  1. Download and install the CCleaner Support Tool using the link below: https://download.ccleaner.com/CCleanerSupportTool.exe
  2. Replicate the issue on your end.
  3. Run the tool to generate the logs.
  4. At the end of the process, you’ll receive a 5-digit File ID.
  5. Please share that File ID with me so I can review the logs and investigate further.

If you have any issues, please let me know.

The code is GMZP9.

Just a stab in the dark but did you uninstall edge or webview from your pc?

Thanks for the log files @bobmcl2010, I have sent these over to the development team to review and they have advised me it is similar to an issue they are investigating that should have a fix in the v7.9 update to CCleaner.
As Nergal has suggested, this may be connected to WebView 2, which is needed to run CCleaner.
Using the below link select the Evergreen Bootstrapper option and download and run the installer.

If the installer completes successfully, relaunch CCleaner to confirm the issue is resolved.

Yes, I uninstalled Edge. Nergal is correct After reinstalling Edge and reinstalled CCleaner and restarted, still no good. It took a power down to fix it. All is good now. Thanks.
