I am on Win 11. The latest version of CCleaner hangs on install. I have a multiple computer license, but neither machine will load. One is running Win 11 Pro, the other Win 11 Home.
Is it freezing on the Welcome Page?
We’ve had a few reports of this welcome screen issue and there’s a work round (it works for most):
Go into Windows Settings and set the display scale to 100%.
Run CCleaner 7 and get past the Welcome Screen.
Set your display scale back to what it was.
If it’s something else then please describe exactly what happens when you try the install.
PS. Are you using an AV other than Windows Defender, if so then which one?
Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn’t work. CCleaner still hangs on load.
I have attached a screen shot of what I see, which is not much. It black box with a white border (my desktop is also black). And as I mentioned in the original post, this same error is occurring on both computers. I have been a CCleaner subscriber for several years and not had any previous issues.

I too am getting the same error but the CCleaner screen is white and I have uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled and still the same issue persists. This just started TODAY no rhyme or reason..I am running Windows 11 Pro Version 24H2 and I am running CCleaner 7
Automatically upgrade to v7 and stuck on welcome screen. I just went back to an older version. Please update us once this bug has been fixed.
Where did you find an older version? On the download site it only gives the option to get the latest, faulty, version

I have the same problem - as it appears do many others. I went back to 6.39 - you can get the info on how here:
REMEMBER to change the auto-update settings to OFF or it will auto-update in to the same problem. Hopefully they will tell us when this is fixed. NOT a good look for a new product!
