Known Issue with CCleaner 7: Only two buttons show and health check won't scan

Many of you have encountered the following screen

There’s a scan button but it does nothing and only two tools show (and neither is health check)
Follow the following instructions

this happen it’s because the ccleaner 7 windows service has stopped, to solve it
Exit ccleaner
Press win+r
Type services.msc
Find the ccleaner 7 service (they should be alphabetical)
Make sure it’s set to automatic
Right click the service and choose start
Assure it is running
Open CCleaner

Also restarting the PC should fix this issue. If you are seeing this repeatedly you may have something (such as a security software) stopping the ccleaner service from starting.

EDIT Jan 11 2026: The developers have recognized this flaw but have yet to address it in an update.
