How do I choose cookies to keep in the new version?
See:
My ātrusted sitesā seem to have been retained after installing v. 7. However, it appears thereās no way to add new ones other than manually. This is a deal-breaker for meā¦unless Iām missing the point. Iām using the free version if that makes a difference.
But you have to add websites manually; is that correct?
Itās sure taking a long time to scan!
yeah, i had answered previous to rereading your issue, yes you have to manually instead of the more intuitive old way. scaning cookies and moving the one you want (so you can still delete, say, ads.nytimes.com and keep accounts.nytimes.com is the way it should be not the now of all nytimes.com.
Developers need to fix this. who were the beta testers who told piriform, once-known-as CCleaner once-known-as piriform (1), that this version was acceptable.
(1) as evidenced by the confusing installation location of a piriform folder for version 7 when they spent the last two years convincing us they were now called CCleaner as a company and no longer piriform
Okay, at least Iām not crazy! Do they read these messages, or is there someplace to complain?
they read (or have in the past) but rarely (it comes in waves) do they intervene, or make known that they understand users, in the forum. They have yet to say anything since release of 7 which is B⦠letās just sayā not what should be occurringā.
Oh, well. Thanks!
They do read social media posts but donāt seem to read forum posts.
I know as I reported a bug before and only got it fixed because I spoke to them on X and even though the bug had been reported here a lot a month prior, they didnāt know about it until I spoke to them.
