Seit meinem letzten Neustart fehlen nun alle Felder, in denen man anklicken kann, was up zu daten ist. habe auch schon neu installiert. Sie fehlen dennoch. kann nichts mehr updaten.
Google translate:
Since my last restart, all the fields where you can click to see what needs to be updated are missing. I have already reinstalled it. They are still missing. I can’t update anything anymore.
NOTE that you should be very careful if using the Driver Updater, check on the driver manufactures website first that the new driver version is suitable for your particular hardware.
Not all new drivers may be for the hardware in your machine, and if you install the wrong one then it can break things.
(Personally I do not update drivers for any hardware device, unless I have having a problem with that particular hardware).
PS. I have put your user account up a level and you should now be able to attach images.
There are 3-ways to do that:
You can paste the image in from the clipboard. (Copy/Paste)
You can drag and drop the image into the post editor.
You can use the Upload arrow on the menu bar to browse for files to attach:
hi, i tried to uninstall and install again before.
but with your Link, i made it again.
But the same result, no Boxes.
And the strange thing is, these Boxes i miss in the Driver updater,
in the software updater they are there.
How are you attempting to post the screenshot?
Drag/drop, or copy/paste. or using the Upload icon?
It may be a user group permissions issue that is preventing you posting images, in which case I’d like to sort out what it is and get it changed.
There again it may be local to you and another symptom of what is preventing you seeing those tickboxes.
There is something that we haven’t checked yet - Are you using a 3rd party Antivirus or other security/firewall software, or just using Windows Defender?
That may be relevant if you can see tick boxes in Software Updater but not in Driver Updater.
i tried both version for attempting, i always get the message: An error occurred: Sorry, you cannot embed media elements in a post.
I am using AVAST Software. but i used it before to, and there i saw the Tick boxes.
Thanks, I’ll see what more I can find about the image posting thing.
I would however suggest disabling Avast, then doing a Restart (not shutdown) and seeing if the Driver Updater boxes will appear without Avast running. Something may have been changed in an Avast definitions update.
You can re-enable Avast again after checking.
ok, i have done it. the same result.
But i found something else strange. I made a scan for driver updates, and found one for update.
The strange her were the Tick boxes.
they are only missed in the ready made drivers.
Before that all, there were also Tickboxes for reset a driver
Ahh, it’s the Up-to-date drivers that you are looking at.
I believe that changed some months ago.
If you want to see more about them there is a “Details” button to the right of each one.
If you are having a problem with an updated driver then instead of an individual tickbox you can now use the “+ Fix a Problem” button and follow the steps there:
ok, i havn’t seen that before, cause formally there were boxes in the up-to-date field too.
But now i tried that with the +fix a problem. And there are also NO tick Boxes to elect a driver
Did you actually try using it?
It’s a walk through process, click the ‘Help me’ and you should see this screen to pick the the type of device that you are having a driver issue with, You can select more than one at once, or just select ‘Not Sure’ which should look for them all.
Then click ‘Show all relevant drivers’:
You then get this screen where you can change the time period to search, the type of driver to look for, and select for only Drivers with issues.
(If you don’t select only drivers with issues then it should show all your installed drivers).
If any with issues are found then if CCleaner had updated them you can select them and use the ‘Revert selected drivers’ button:
As you can see there I don’t have any drivers with issues, from any time, so I have nothing to select to try and roll back.
However note this quote about tickboxes from the guidance that is linked below. It tells you that you will only see tickboxes for drivers that CCleaner itself had previously updated. If CCleaner hadn’t updated it then there will not be a tickbox next to it.
Note: Driver Updater only restores versions of drivers that it’s installed before. You cannot restore versions of drivers originally installed by Microsoft (or other third-party software). Drivers like these don’t have checkboxes next to them in the Driver Updater menu (so you can’t select them).
The ‘+ Need Help’ button shown in that second screenshot takes you to that guidance: CCleaner Support Community
year, it tried that all, and there were no boxes, also not at the by me installed “new” drivers.
Try it please by yourself, if you can find there tickboxes .
in my case i go to Mouse, and there is shows me my updated driver, but there is also no tick to activate that driver.
2 weeks before i have done that sometimes, cause the scroll function at my Touchpad wasn’t going anymore.
so i set the driver back to the formally driver.
And when it was again not going, i installed the new driver again
