after this annoying pop up had annoyed me enough to google for a fix I find a whole thread of happy customers having just as much fun as me!
I take from the forgoing that this is now a known bug
There appears to be no v7.4 detected by the app itself - is an eta available for its release?
Side note - my Win 10 machines seem to have updated themselves to 7.4 and no longer have the problem, my win 11 machines are still v7.3.1120.0!

I have CC installed on Win11 PC’s, and there was no automatic upgrade. I just downloaded the latest v.7.4 and installed it right over the older V.7.3. Install was smooth, and, so far, no annoying poop-ups after the one immediately following the new install. To stop the pop-ups in the previous version, I had disabled man of the scheduled tasks set by Piriform. The new install overwrote those tasks. Time will tell…

I also did an update to 7.4 today (on a Win 10 laptop) that took several minutes - but hadn’t updated anything.

So I just downlaoded an installer and reinstalled 7.4 over the old one.
